it will not be a surprise to learn that its PSP handheld console will also play music for you on the road. All you need is a Memory Stick Duo to store files MP3 and USB cable with a Mini-B type connector
A major aspect of the use of PSP is that you can play WAV, and AAC-encoded tracks, ATRACs, WMA, MP3 and UMD. Although the PSP, regardless of model number, was designed primarily to play games for you, you can now play your favorite music on your PSP. This is the process of how to do the following:
1. Choose a Memory Stick for holding your music files. The more memory your Memory Stick, which can hold more music. It is advisable to use the Memory Stick Duo, because the other guy (Memory Stick Pro Duos) may not be able to accommodate all your files music. You should also use a Memory Stick standard of at least version 2.00 or higher if possible.
2. Turn on the PSP.
3. Get a USB cable and a link to your PSP to your PC or Mac with a USB cable. The end of the USB cable that connects to the PSP should have a Mini-B connector, while the other end must use a standard USB connector for connecting a PC or MAC.
4. Check out your start menu and search PSP Settings.
5. In Settings you should be able to scroll to the "USB Connection" icon.
6. Press the X button This allows to your PSP to display the "USB Mode" indicator for the computer you are using (either a PC or Mac) recognize the PSP as a USB storage device.
7. Look for a folder on the Memory Stick that says "PSP" or "portable storage device. If your Memory Stick without a folder, then make one labeled that way the PC using Windows Explorer or Mac Finder Inside that folder "PSP" or similarly named folder, you can create a new folder call "music.
8. You can now drag and drop a number of audio files in the "Music" folder as you would other folders on your PC. You need to understand what music formats your PSP can accommodate before resorting to doing this because your PSP can be oriented only a specific format for music, like MP3.
9.Look to the trash icon on your Mac and drag and drop your disk icon on the icon of the Trash to disconnect the PSP. If you are using a PC, then you have to first seek the bottom menu bar, find the command "Safely Remove Hardware" in the menu bar, then click it.
Now you can remove the USB cable then press the circle button to return to the start menu.
And that's basically! Now you can start using your PSP as a music player. The advantage of using the PSP as a music player is giving you very good production quality music, especially if based on high end headphones to listen in
